Turret clock table - Large
Beautiful table designed from an authentic 18th century Italian tower turret clock mechanism. This mechanism was used for large clocks and bells you find up churches and public towers to keep time for the Community.
The mechanism is included in a forged iron box with wrought iron crowns and wheels as well as the three central wood wheels.
The timekeeping was controlled by a pendulum through a so-called 'anchor' escapement with weights on the wooden wheels that provide the energy for the turning of the crowns and the functioning of the watch and the ring of the bells.
The huge dimension of the mechanism, cm 133 x 70 x 85H, allow for an important tabletop that can be customized in different dimensions, shapes and materials at the buyers' preference as well as at the buyers' location to prevent eventual damage from shipping .
